Sector
We are excited by sectors that are dynamic, fit our expertise and track records and that also map well to the strengths of New York City area. These areas include “indigenous” sectors such as: digital and social media, e-commerce, advertising, financial technology, enterprise software and security. Other areas we watch closely are health and wellness and education.
Stage
We have historically invested in the first institutional round of funding. In our most recent fund, we led investments in Seed and Series A financing, and participated and/or led follow-on rounds.
While we often lead these investments, we almost always invest alongside other top investors. By working closely with entrepreneurs to select syndicate partners, we ensure that the Boards of portfolio companies are compatible, capable of continued financial support when needed, and strategically and tactically helpful.
Geography
We primarily invest in companies that are or will be headquartered in the New York City area. We also invest in companies founded in Israel or other countries, particularly when they are moving some or all their operations to the United States.
